Founded in 1914 as Peoples Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Akron General is a not-for-profit healthcare organization that serves as the hub for Cleveland Clinic's Southern Region. In addition to a 532-registered-bed teaching and research medical center in downtown Akron, the Cleveland Clinic Akron General system includes the Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation center which helps patients who have life altering injuries or illnesses, such as strokes, head trauma, spinal cord injuries, amputations, orthopedic, neuromuscular and related conditions, or those in need of care for a drug or alcohol addiction. The Lodi Hospital is a critical access hospital that offers a comprehensive range of services, including a 24-hour Emergency Department, outpatient surgery and a full range of diagnostics, rehabilitation and physical therapy, as well as acute and skilled care. The Visiting Nurse Service is a comprehensive provider of home healthcare services, provides nursing care, infusion services, rehabilitation therapies, hospice and palliative care, as well as medical equipment and supplies. The Health and Wellness Centers located in Bath, Green and Stow, offer a variety of integrated outpatient services, including 24-hour Emergency Departments, primary and specialty care practices, as well as a medically supervised exercise program. Outpatient Services include Comprehensive healthcare services, preventive and wellness services, radiology, laboratory services, mammography, surgery, endoscopy, physical therapy and cardiovascular testing. The General Sports and Therapy Center provide comprehensive outpatient sports medicine and rehab services with additional locations in Green, Akron, Tallmadge, Wadsworth, Lakemore, Stow and Mogadore. And the Women’s Center provides maternity services and the New Life Center, gynecologic health services, Reflections Breast Health Center and Muffins for Mammograms, Osteoporosis prevention and the Women's Health Clinic.

Hattie Larlham
Since 1961, Hattie Larlham has developed programs and services to support people with developmental disabilities. The organization started with one dedicated woman. Today, her dream is realized in the work of hundreds of employees who work around the clock to provide care to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Since its humble beginnings in the Larlham family farmhouse, the nonprofit organization has grown to include residential services, medical services, work training services, respite and in-home care and camp and play programs.
